It features a hand-incised signature, a mark of his handcrafted work.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pot displays the beautiful texture of Tokoname karasudei (black clay).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSaita Sanpo worked for Ina Seito Co., Ltd. (now INAX) for many years before becoming independent in 1965.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe began making bonsai pots in 1974. At first, he mainly produced unglazed bonsai pots using molded forming techniques, but later shifted his focus to custom-made handcrafted pots using the traditional tatara (slab-building) method.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBoth his molded and handcrafted works are predominantly unglazed bonsai pots.
