This pot was specially commissioned in China by Takasago-an, a renowned bonsai establishment in Japan known for collecting prized trees and cultivating Shikoku Goyomatsu (Japanese white pine). It is a distinguished rectangular pot with inward-curving corners and cloud-shaped feet, featuring a dignified design that highlights its refined craftsmanship. The soft, warm tone of the clay is also exceptional. It is well-suited for mature specimens of Goyomatsu or Kuromatsu (Japanese black pine).
There are two kiln marks on the pot.
